For Equine Cohesive Bandage
User One: ☆☆☆☆☆
I product know this as coban.
It’s the same stuff they wrap around your hand or arm when you have given blood, had a blood draw.
Same stuff used a lot for athletic purposes.
I use it for my foot after toe surgery, it works well and stays put several days under a sock.
Don’t think this stuff doesn’t curl, as it does, but if applied and used correctly, it won’t curl.
There is a potential to apply it too tight, don’t go there. lol
I used it yesterday around my cat’s neck to secure a bandage. Not too tight yet it holds the bandage in place even if the cat tries to scratch it off.
It is self-adhering if applied right, I don’t need anything to have it adhere when I put it on my foot and it adheres really well when the lab people wrap up my arm or hand after giving blood.
User Two: ☆☆☆☆☆
For the tender, very sensitive skin of my elderly father, this self adhesive tape is perfect. NO OUCHIES!!! Especially great to protect easy bleeders from bleeding just to take a bandage off. A box of these has saved us big bucks. Also-side note, great for other applications. We used when cutting pool noodles to pad the edges and corners of tables to prevent injury. This tape stretches and adheres to itself and comes off easily with no sticky residue like regular tape would leave. (ie;Duck Tape) This way the pool noodles can be reused in different locations or ways. Thrilled with this purchase after so much overspending at drug stores.
User Three: ☆☆☆☆☆
This bandage wrap is pricey in stores and this was a great price for a 12 pack. I like the fact that is sticks to itself but is not sticky to leave residue on your skin. Works great on using gauge pads and wrapping wounds on legs and arms. It is stretchy and seems to last all day and doesn’t typically unravel. It like this stuff way better than tape.
User Four: ☆☆☆☆☆ Equine Use – Ideal
I liked all of the color options – my trainer, not so much lol. It’s all single colors, so if you have two legs (hopefully you don’t) you can’t have matching legs. So that was fun matching the colors while I was fighting a bad case of scratches! But yeah, these work just as well as the 3M VetWrap and other competitors. And if you’re wrapping while fighting something nasty like a bout of scratches, you’re going through it quickly…so I went the cheaper route with these and it satisfied the need. Now if I had a one-off need for wrap and it needed to stay on longer than 24-48 hours, maybe I’d use vetwrap instead. All in all, this stuff did it’s job and kept the medicine on my horse’s legs for the time required.
