User One: ☆☆☆☆☆ Great product!
The good reviews don’t lie – this product is outstanding! I had a mare with a tricky abscess that I couldn’t get to drain. She could not bear any weight on the affected foot and was absolutely miserable. I gave these a shot based on the reviews and hoped they would be less messy than making my own poultice; they did not disappoint! They were incredibly easy to work with – virtually no mess, easy to wrap up, and so quick. They are a perfect size as well and would work for a wide range of feet. I was also very satisfied with how comfortable she was once she was all wrapped up. While she still was unable to bear full weight on the foot, she wasn’t only toe-touching as she was without it. I will be keeping these on hand for the future!

User Two: ☆☆☆☆☆Perfect for first layer of an abscess hoof wrap
Perfect for first layer of an abscess hoof wrap! Works well. Just remember if you are turning out, this softens the wall, so make sure you have that sucker duct taped on there good. I used this, then a not-tight wrap with vetwrap (cut a v near coronet band so there isn’t too much pressure on the band) and then I wrap the whole thing with Gorilla Tape. Works great. You just don’t want this to fall off while they are out because then you could end up with another abscess since the wall of the hoof is softer due to the lintex.

User Three: ☆☆☆☆☆Something that really works!
Learned about this poultice from a friend. What an amazing product! My horse had two abscesses on the same hoof. I put this poultice in a medicine boot, slightly wet, and changed it every twelve hours for a week. Although the abscesses drained within 4 or 5 days, I continued for the full week to ensure all the infection was gone. So easy to use since it’s precut and slipped right in the medicine boot. It kept the area clean and allowed it to heal. This is an effective product – one that works – in this day and age where hardly anything does.
